An open face weave and array of materials are utilized here to create a blocky yet fragile composition within a classic canvas frame. This work is an early example of a never ending series of experiments that help me to understand and expand on what it means for me to be a PAINTER and the freedom to assign the role of paint and canvas to which ever material I choose.

Materials: wool, acrylic yarn, saran wrap, wire, hemp twine, cotton fabric, and acrylic paint.
