extraterrestrial Botanicals

These three dimensional painted works depict fantastical flora from other worlds.

Once Mr. Smith realized a pattern in every season of bloom, a connection with his time before earth.

Memory fragments first triggered by fragrance before they accompanied touch.

Amnesia breaking bouquets took him clear across climates and continents.

Always in search of botanical’s in blooms.

 Intergalactic Botany

The popularity of floral prints reaches far beyond the

familiarity of our little Milky Way home.

This collection of statement floral patterns draw

from different types of intergalactic plant matter sourced from a range

of planetary habitats. Within each repeat pattern there are layered vibrational details

that will continue to reveal themselves throughout the life of the print.

The bright and busy nature of this collection is sure to grab the attention of any

intelligential life-form with at least one retina or UV wave receptor.

Conceptually rooted in drawings from the earlier Alien Plant Projects, samplings took the shape of small scale sculptural objects viewable from 360 degrees. Some of these mock ups can be considered stand alone art objects because of their unique structures, conceptual refinement, and detailed surface embellishment. Their primary purpose is to explore the potential of large scale production for installation, immersive experience, and set design projects. With a diorama construction approach, these alien plant samples began to form tiny special environments. Object arrangement, platform, and lighting are the primary controllable factors utilized to produce these fantastical spaces.
